I am so pleased to announce that the magazine I have been
Slaving Away working on is up! I absolutely love how it turned out, and it was so fun to be able to collaborate with some talented women. There are beautiful articles by Megan Conley (who’s writing makes me weep), Heather Johnson (who offers great parenting advice), Stephanie Lonas (my almost sister in law), Heather Mildenstein (amazing mom and friend), Tana Hallows (talented business lady), Melissa Coleman (the most amazing baker), Kristen Hills (talented baker as well), and Julianne Weis (dear friend from college). I also was able to with some talented artists—Sarah Jane, Leah Naomi, Bri Webb, and Brittany Scott to make sure that the artwork was just perfect, and reflected the mood of the magazine.
So go on, check it out over here, you will love it, I promise!
And inside the magazine , I have designed these chalkboard quotes..
Obviously my obsession with chalkboard continues.
I hope you enjoy the magazine! Be sure to check out my article on learning from failure.
Last week I was able to go on studio 5 and go over last week’s downloads. Check it out:
Today I am going to be on Studio 5, showing all of these fun fall downloads I have. One of my downloads is this fun Ice Cream Chore Trainer. It’s a perfect type of “chore chart” for kids who are pre-K, because it helps them visualize accomplishing their task. They are immediately rewarded and able to see how they are doing, which is easier for them to graph then filling out a chart. Check out what the chart looks like, and click below to download the file and enjoy with your own pre-k children!
I have been loving this turn to fall! In honor of back to school, I designed these back to school, fall labels to be used on lunchbags, binders, and notebooks. (Or anywhere else you can imagine!) These are linked up over at nicole’s classes, so head on over to enjoy them! DOWNLOAD HERE. Click Here to Download (over at Nicole’s Classes)
For those of you not self-employed (ahem, not me) today is a holiday! I am taking the afternoon off and headed to Lake Mead, which is a far different type of beauty than the lake above (from Glacier, MT), and I am looking forward to it.
I apologize for the long absence from this blog, things have been crazier than usual around here, and I have struggled tremendously. But things are getting better, and I am getting excited about blogging again… More on that tomorrow. (stay tuned!)
Happy Holiday! What are you doing today? Holiday-ing it up? Or working?
